How do I sign up?
Click on the “Get started” button in the menu or on any page. This will take you through our signup process for TerraCycle Pickup services. Select your subscription package and start recycling with us.
How do the recycling subscription packages work?
Purchase a TerraCycle Pickup subscription. Upon subscribing, we will send you the set of Zero Waste Bags and pickups will be added to your account. All Zero Waste Bags are clearly marked with the different materials we collect. Simply mark the checkbox for the single type of waste you want to recycle, fill the Zero Waste Bag with the accepted waste, seal it, and schedule your pickup.
When can I expect my recycling supplies after placing an order?
Each subscription comes with a set amount of Zero Waste Bags depending on the subscription you purchase and pickups are added to your account. Zero Waste Bags are delivered within ten business days. Shipping times may vary based on your location.
How many Zero Waste Bags can I use each month?
Each subscription comes with a set amount of Zero Waste Bags depending on the subscription you purchase. There is no limit on the number of bags you can have collected each month. If you use up your inventory of Zero Waste Bags before your subscription renews, you can purchase additional Zero Waste Bags at any time through our website.
What is the XL Zero Waste Bag?
The XL Zero Waste Bag measures approximately 33"x40" and is about same capacity as a 33 gallon kitchen bag. Order Extra Large Zero Waste Bags if you’re planning to recycle:

Scheduling a Pickup
How often do you pick up?
Pickup frequency depends on the subscription package you choose. You can purchase additional pickups on the website as needed. You schedule your pickup when it's convenient for you. All pickups require scheduling. To ensure best service for all customers, the scheduling deadline is 4 pm the day before an available pickup date.

To schedule a pickup, you can either scan the QR code on the Zero Waste Bag or log in to your TerraCycle Pickup account. All pickups require scheduling. To ensure best service for all customers, the scheduling deadline is 4 pm the day before an available pickup date.
What time will my pickup be?
Please place your Zero Waste Bags out for collection the night before your scheduled pickup. Drivers may arrive as early as 6:00 a.m. Drivers are out on collection routes all day. Please reach out to our team at email@example.com if you have any questions.
I purchased Zero Waste Bags, but I am not a subscriber. Where should I place my recycling bags for pickup?
Place your Zero Waste Bags on your doorstep the night before your pickup date.
What if I miss my pickup?
Please contact customer service to see when and if a pickup can be rescheduled. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there a maximum number of Zero Waste Bags I can have picked up at once?
When you schedule your pickup, you will be asked to fill in the number of Zero Waste Bags being collected. This allows us to best serve all customers. You can email us at email@example.com with any final updates the day before the scheduled pickup.
How full can my Zero Waste Bag be?
All items must fit in the provided Zero Waste Bag and be closable. We do not collect loose items or open Zero Waste Bags. If you need more bags, you can order them anytime.
What if my Zero Waste Bag is damaged?
Please contact us, and we will coordinate with our drivers to ensure we can pick up your order on your scheduled date. Reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If I run out of Zero Waste Bags, can I just use other bags I have in the house?
No, you will need to purchase additional Zero Waste Bags. Drivers do not carry extra Zero Waste Bags. Zero Waste Bags can be purchased at any time.
What happens to the items after you pick them up?
TerraCycle Pickup guarantees that we recycle all compliant materials that are collected. The items are received by our material recovery partners, where they are sorted into individual material components. Each material is then recycled into a raw format that can be used to make new products.

Do you have a list of all the waste you recycle?
You can review all 20+ waste streams that we accept here. Click on each stream to learn details about the accepted waste types, recycling processes, and final products created with the processed waste.
Is there anything you don't accept?
We do not accept any trash or waste stream that is not included in the accepted waste streams printed on the Zero Waste Bags. If you are unsure or have a specific product question, please contact us at email@example.com.
Can I put the same things in small and large Zero Waste Bags?
Different waste streams are accepted by different size Zero Waste Bags. Please only put accepted items (listed on the bag) in each Zero Waste Bag. If you are unsure or have a specific product question, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I put trash from more than one waste stream in one Zero Waste Bag?
Please only put trash from one specific waste stream in each Zero Waste Bag. Mark the checkbox for that waste stream on the bag to indicate what’s inside.
Do I have to clean the waste before I put it in the Zero Waste Bag?
You do not need to clean the waste before putting it in the Zero Waste Bag, but please remove as much of the remaining product as possible.
Billing and Cancelation
Do I have to buy a subscription to use the service?
No. While subscriptions are encouraged, they are not required to use the service. You can purchase Zero Waste Bags and pickups on-demand.
How do I cancel or change my subscription?

When do I get billed?
You are billed at the time of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of your subscription period (3-month, 6-month, and 12-month) unless you inform us otherwise. A reminder email will be sent two weeks before a scheduled renewal date. You can make changes to your subscription at any time by reaching out to our team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If I cancel, how do I return my supplies?
Once your cancellation is confirmed, we will notify you and make arrangements to pick up any supplies you may wish to return.
How do I update my form of payment?
Simply log in to your account, select "My subscriptions" from the top menu, click on the active subscription, and then click on the "Request update link in email" button.
We will send you an email containing the URL where you can securely change your payment method.

Will you pick up my Zero Waste Boxes?
No. Please follow the mail-back instructions on your Zero Waste Box.
I have a business, school, church, etc., and would like to participate. Can I?

I live in an apartment building. Do you service apartments as well?
Yes, as long as your collection bin and/or Zero Waste Bags can be placed outside or in a ground floor common area that our drivers can easily access. For more detailed information, please contact us at email@example.com.
I already have a TerraCycle account. Do I have to create a new TerraCycle Pickup account?
Yes- you will need a separate TerraCycle Pickup account.
